A note from the Founding Steward

Together, we'll cultivate a place where we can all live well. Welcome to LivingWell Village. Welcome to the GoodLand.

I don't have all the answers. I'm here because I believe a better life gets built together, not alone.

Healthy Goodland started with a simple idea: a place where people belong, where every person brings something the group needs, and where we help each other become more fully alive.

My job is to walk this path with you, not ahead of you. To practice stewardship in my own life. To keep learning, listen closely, take care of what's been entrusted to us, and help build a village where kindness, generosity, accountability, and joy can actually take root.

None of us truly shines unless we all get the chance to. Our lives are tangled up in each other, and investing in one another is how we all end up better off.

I have a vision, but it's not one I'm building alone. It's one we're building together.

My story

For much of my life, I didn't realize I was navigating neurodivergence. I just thought I needed to try harder. Looking back, a lot of it makes sense now: regulating emotions, acting on impulse, sleeping consistently, eating consistently, finding balance, wondering why life felt harder for me than it seemed to for other people.

Understanding my own mind has been one of the best things that's happened to me, and one of the most humbling. It's not finished. I still practice it daily.

That changed how I think about health.

Medicine is genuinely great at a lot of things. It saves lives, treats disease, relieves suffering, and deserves real respect for that. But I kept noticing questions that never got answered in a doctor's office: questions about lifestyle, purpose, relationships, stress, belonging, meaning, and the small daily habits that shape how life actually feels.

I got interested in that gap. Not because I think I've solved it, but because I think it deserves attention.

Eventually I realized my real strength isn't having the perfect answer. It's helping people slow down enough to ask better questions, reconnect with what actually matters to them, and start building a life that fits who they are.

I've also learned that none of us is built to carry every burden or hold every gift. We were built for a village. A place where each person contributes what they can, gets what they need, and finds out that our differences aren't weaknesses. They're what make the whole thing stronger.

That's why Healthy Goodland and LivingWell Village exist. Not because I wanted another business, but because I wanted to help build the kind of place I think a lot of us have been missing.

A place where you never stop learning. Where kindness actually matters. Where people share what they know instead of pretending to know everything. Where nature reminds you to slow down. Where health means more than fixing what's broken, it means learning to flourish alongside other people.

I still offer one on one educational wellness consultations for people who want more personal support, but my bigger hope is much larger than any single conversation: to help build a village of Stewards, people committed to caring for themselves, each other, and the world around them, people who share generously and ask for help without shame.

I'm done trying to prove I can do everything by myself. I'm a lot more interested in what becomes possible when we stop trying to do life solo.

This isn't for everyone. But if you've been craving a slower pace, deeper conversations, real relationships, and a community that believes everyone has something to bring, you might've just found your people.

For more than twenty years, I've cared for people in some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. That work taught me a lot, not just about medicine, but about people.

I also know what it's like to struggle.

I grew up with a single mother who gave me more love than I could've asked for, even when money was tight. Like a lot of people, I carried around stories about scarcity that shaped how I saw myself and the world.

Our purpose

Healthy Goodland cultivates modern villages, called LivingWell Village, by inspiring ordinary people to become extraordinary stewards of themselves, each other, and the places they call home.

"I'm not building a business. I'm cultivating the village I wish more of us had."

A letter to new Villagers

Thank you for being here. Welcome to LivingWell Village. Let's build the GoodLand together.

If you found your way here, maybe you were looking for something more than information. Maybe you were looking for a place to belong.

Healthy Goodland started with a simple belief: we were never meant to walk through life alone. Somewhere along the way, a lot of us traded villages for schedules, neighbors for notifications, belonging for busyness. We got more connected than ever and somehow more isolated at the same time.

I think we can build something different. Not by going backward, but by remembering what's always helped people flourish. A village. A place where every person is known. Where every person has something to offer. Where every person is allowed to ask for help. A place where we take care of ourselves, each other, and the land that keeps us alive.

I don't see myself as an expert standing over the community. I see myself as its Founding Steward, a fellow traveler committed to tending this place alongside everyone who chooses to show up.

I'm not trying to build followers. I'm trying to build Stewards. People who lead with kindness. Who show up humble. Who give what they can and ask for help when they need it. Who understand a good life gets built through participation, not perfection.

Every Villager carries something the rest of us need. Some teach. Some build. Some create. Some listen. Some encourage. Some just remind us we're not alone. Every gift counts.

This isn't about becoming the best individual in the room. It's about building the kind of village where all of us get better together, because none of us shines as bright alone as we do together. When one life flourishes, the whole village gets stronger.

I have a vision, but it's not something I'm building by myself. It's something we're building together. A place where people of different ages, backgrounds, and beliefs gather around a shared commitment to kindness, stewardship, curiosity, and care. Where kids grow up around trusted adults. Where elders get honored instead of forgotten. Where neighbors turn into friends. Where wisdom gets shared freely. Where every season of life has company.

This is the path we tend together. One conversation, one shared meal, one act of generosity, one season at a time.
